English
A Floating Axial Flow Pump is an integrated pumping system that combines an axial flow pump with a buoyant pontoon or barge-style platform. Less investment and no need for pump house construction are big two advantages for this kind of floating axial flow pump.
Main benefits of floating axial flow pump
No pump house need
High efficiency in high-flow and low-head applications
Smooth and reliable operation
Robust construction, high durability and reliability
Easy Installation and low maintenance costs
High efficiency performance for best total life time cost
Main applications
Agricultural irrigation and drainage
Flood control and drainage project
Water transfer projects

Our Floating Axial Flow Pump relies on the traditional mature axial flow pump technology to effectively expand the application range of the axial flow pump. This design allows the entire pump assembly to float on the surface of a water body, making it an exceptionally versatile solution for moving large volumes of water where water levels fluctuate.
How It Works?
The motor drives the vertical shaft, which spins the axial flow impeller. The impeller draws water in axially from underneath the pontoon and discharges it axially upward into the outlet pipe. The entire assembly floats, automatically rising and falling with the water level, ensuring the pump's inlet always remains at the optimal submerged depth for operation.
Float-type axial flow pumps are suitable for water conveyance in reservoirs, lakes, and rivers. They have a large flow rate, low head, and can be used to transport raw water or light sewage. The temperature of the transported medium is below 50℃, the head is below 15 meters.
It is far better than that of vertical, horizontal and inclined installations for floating submersible pump in the aspect of large-scale river upper and lower cofferdams drainage after damming, and the engineering cost can be reduced by more than 60% compared with other installation. Movable medium and small pumping stations, especially for emergency drainage, without hydraulic construction.

Agricultural Irrigation
Ideal for lifting water from rivers, canals, or reservoirs to irrigate large farmlands, as it can handle the high flow rates required.
Flood Control and Drainage
Widely used in pumping stations to quickly move massive amounts of water from flooded areas (cities, agricultural fields) to rivers or seas.
Water Transfer Projects
Essential in large-scale aqueducts or cross-basin water transfer schemes where water needs to be lifted only a short height but over massive volumes.
Construction Dewatering
Pumping water from construction pits, coffer dams, and mining sites.
Aquaculture
Water circulation, aeration, and exchange in large fish and shrimp farms.
